Description:

Part of Essex Boys and Girls Clubs, Stubbers Adenture Centre provides a range of land and water based adventurous activities for people of all ages and abilities.  Climbing, Quad Biking, Jet Skiing, Sailing, Tunnelling, Archery and High Ropes are just some of the activities that are on offer.  You can find out more about Stubbers by visiting www.stubbers.co.uk

Stubbers volunteer scheme for 15 - 18 year olds is set up to progress young people into the outdoor industry. To reward our volunteers for all their hard work we put them onto activity courses, such as

·        PWC (personal water craft – Jet Ski),

·        Quad Bike E.A.S.I rider's course,

·        First Aid

·        RYA Sailing level 1 + 2

·        BCU Kayak 1 and 2 star

·        RYA Power boat level 1

Every year we arrange a training trip just for the volunteers, we take them somewhere offsite to experience the 'real' outdoors where they will take part in extreme adventurous activities, build relationships within the team and work on personal barriers. Whilst at Stubbers the Volunteers are able to choose which day they wish to come or whether it's just a morning or an afternoon. They will be working with various groups of different capabilities. This will, in time, build up their personal life skills, such as communication and confidence.

If you feel you can make the cut to be a volunteer, are eager to learn new skills and willing to put the hours in to get the rewards out, all you have to do is email Andy Burgin (volunteer supervisor) at volunteer@stubbers.co.uk or call Stubbers Adventure centre on 01708 224753.
